Danny Jackson - Product Design Engineer
After completing an industrial placement at Coalesce during his third year of University, Danny applied what he had learned during his final year at university, designing products with a medical theme, and graduating with a 1st class degree in Product Design and Technology (BSc). Danny re-joined us as a graduate in August, and has hit the ground running on an autoinjector development project.
During his time at Coalesce, Danny has already developed mechanism concepts, device demonstrators and instrumented human factors models. Comfortable working in both industrial design and mechanical engineering disciplines, and with a specific interest in the intersection between human factors and design, he is looking forward to applying his skills to developing human-centred medical devices.
Outside of work, photography, golf and pretending to go to the gym take up some time, as does kicking back to watch the football, maybe even having a celebratory drink if Manchester United take all three points.
Skills as a barista are a little out of date, but with the espresso machine in the office, maybe they’ll be dusted off again (if he can wean his colleagues off the fruit tea!).
